Dear Parents, Students, and Friends,

 

Welcome to Casa de Oro Elementary School! I am thrilled and excited to be CDO's new "permanent" principal!  We are a family oriented, community school.  Our goal is to work together as a team to provide our students with a quality education in a safe and nurturing environment.

 

CDO's teachers are committed to providing a rigorous, academic program in reading, writing, and mathematics.  Science, history, art, and physical education are integrated into the curriculum as well.  All classrooms, 1st - 6th grade, are equipped with interactive Smart Boards which are used daily in the classroom to make learning engaging and fun.  Our goal is to make sure that every student is successful and happy. 

 

Our staff believes that working with parents as a team is an integral part to a school's success.  Parents are the most significant influence in their children's lives.  We invite all parents to be involved by joining our P.T.A., attending school functions such as Back-To-School-Night and Open House, and by volunteering in the classroom.  Parents can also help out by offering to serve on the School Site Council or English Learner Advisory Committee. 

 
Casa de Oro is a PeaceBuilder school.  As a PeaceBuilder school we practice building peace in many ways.  We praise people, give up put downs, right wrongs, notice hurts, seek wise people, and help others.  We also focus on building positive character traits such as respect, responsibility, honesty, perseverance, and kindness.
