New Parent Welcome BBQ

We'd like to invite our incoming 5th AND 6th grade families to a "Welcome to the LMMS Family!" bbq to be held on Monday, May 13 from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm. Hot dog dinner will be provided by the LMMS PTSA. Games, music, fun provided by our LMMS student leadership groups! School tour will be available for interested families beginning at 5:30.

Ensemble Auditions for '13-'14
Incoming female students interested in auditioning for the LMMS '13-'14 Ensemble (show choir) should come to LMMS on one of the following dates/times:
Tuesday, May 28 2:45 or
Wednesday, May 29 at 3:45
Be prepared to sing about 30 seconds of the Star Spangled Banner and about 30 seconds of a song of your choice. Both will be sung without music.

Please check in at the front office.

LMMS Students Rock the STAR!
We are very proud to announce that LMMS STAR scores went up in every category! The highlights include a significant increase in the number of students advanced and proficient in:
English Language Arts 55% to 70%
Math 47%-58%
Algebra 51%-79%
History 48%-56%
Science 68%-84%
We had TWELVE students achieve a perfect score of 600 on the Science CST! We had four score perfect 600s in Math.

Our students taking the CMA (California Modified Exam) showed incredible growth as well. For a complete look at all of the results, please click on the link "STAR Results '11-'12" on the homepage.
